Q&A With Doug

Where do you LIVE?
I live, work and play in Northwest Denver. Much of my family's activities take place in a three-mile radius near Broncos stadium and we love what our neighborhood has to offer. We are mere minutes from great schools, incredible food and unique shops! Sloan’s Lake is a short jog or bike-ride away and what a treat to have four breweries less than two miles from our front door!

Why Real Estate... Aren't There Enough Agents On The Planet Already?
For me, helping people buy and sell real estate is the perfect and logical intersection of my personal interests and professional skills. Before becoming a licensed real estate agent, I wore many hats relating to homes. From construction worker and painter to leasing agent to landscaper, I know my way around a house!

As a customer, I’ve been through the process of buying, selling and renovating a number homes and know the challenges, excitement and risk/reward challenge of these processes. I have a passion for the lost art of “customer service” and know what it takes to find the perfect home. I’m eager to bring my enthusiasm and experience to helping folks find the perfect match for their needs.

What Music Is Currently In Your iPod?
With three young kiddos, my play list often times is a heavy rotation of Frozen and Free to Be You and Me. Of late, my little girls are allowing me to share some of my tunes with them with surprisingly good results. That said, a few songs get a great deal of airplay: U2's "Where the streets have no name," Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight," and KD Lang’s “Just a Kiss” are getting steady play as we cruise around town.

What Cause Gets Your Time And Money?
Three little girls get most of it, but we are always eager to support grass root efforts to protect our environment—especially the wonderful Colorado outdoors.

Give It Up. What Local Restaurant Is Your Best Kept Secret?
Baked goods of all types from Wooden Spoon in LoHi are always a Sunday morning treat when guests are in town—or we are just feeling like we deserve a special no-cook morning. The Federal Bar & Grill in Jefferson Park does “bar food” like few others with some of the best burgers and a great beer list! Sarto’s (also in Jefferson Park) has what I feel the best Italian food in Denver. Incredible, inventive home-made dishes and extraordinary cocktails served in a stunning, sophisticated environment….count me in!
